What's left of the City of Lights, Shimmerene, sits on the very edge of the Titan's Wake, the northern half of the city razed into an unlivable state by the Imperator's wrath, and its ruling clan wiped out. Though one high kinlord has sat in Shimmerene's throne for 419 years, the kinlords of Shimmerene's countryside warrior clans-- many older than him-- still refuse to acknowledge his legitimacy and naturally vie for the seat themselves.
